Micro fisheye XI – My stacks

Micro fisheye home

Here the photos of some of the lens combinations I’ve tried. Many still missing! I’ll reassemble them one day.

I used as relay lens a macro Tamron 90mm; it will normally work at 1:1. This choiche is because it is the only native macro I have. In some cases a longer macro (200mm) or a short one at high magnification may had been better suited.

Inverted prime

Inverted prime mounted directly, with physical front aperture. Lens: 50mm f/1.4. Distance aperture-lens flange 50mm. Distance lens front-sensor about 140mm. Distance aperture-subject about 10mm.
Inverted prime mount for Hypercentric/pericentric imaging. Macro lens at about 1:1.5. Inverted prime lens 50mm f/1.4. Mounted at short distance (<10mm) over the filter thread of the macro. Subject at about 15mm from last lens.

Eyepieces

Well, just remove the three elbow, put the eyepiece in the last adapter and we get our eyepiece macro relay. The eyepiece shoulder sits at a distance where the macro has about 1.2x magnification; about 100mm in this case. Add diopters or spacers if the image given by the eyepiece is too small, or just keep the smaller image circle (like I do).
